Giveaway Limitations
Try to think back to a time that was seamless and easy. It was probably when you had no expectations, no critical judgments but rather an open, evolving attitude. A time when you understood that there could be no sweet summer grass without miserable winter rains. Or that happiness is often accompanied by nostalgia, and nostalgia by sadness. A childlike understanding that all that grows shall someday die – that is how it simply is. There is no limit to the cycle of birth and death but we make the mistake of limiting ourselves within it. Limiting ourselves in smallness, in safety.
Keep Giving Away and Giving Away and Giving …
It is easy to remind ourselves to let go but harder to habitualise it. Remain on the middle road, a calm inner place. Yet, don’t be frightened to charge like a bull towards love, towards compassion, because they are the great liberators.
Contemplation
Imagine the innate wisdom of a child. The connection a child has to all that exists around him. In many ways he hovers in constant observation and contemplation of his environment. His open curiosity and honest questions are effortless. The young child evolves freely, without identity.
Break free of your established belief systems and rest, rather, in a space of contemplation and love.
I choose to love you in silence
For in silence I find no rejection,
I choose to love you in loneliness
For in loneliness no one owns you but me,
I choose to adore you from a distance
For distance will shield me from pain,
I choose to kiss you in the wind
For the wind is gentler than my lips,
I choose to hold you in my dreams
For in my dreams, you have no end.
